- Non-suited non-connected cards with at least 1 card between 2 and 9 - 53.%
- Suited cards - 24%;
- A to 9 - 21%
- Any connected cards - 16%
- A to 10 - 14%
- A to J - 9%
- Any pocket pair - 6%
- A to Q - 5%
- Any connected cards A to T - 5%
- Any connected and suited cards - 4%
- Any of AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT - 2%

After the first two pre-flop cards are dealt, the rough odds of winning in common situations comparing two hands in the order of increasing advantage (of the set noted first) are:
- Pocket pair vs. two over cards - 55:45 or about 1:1 (roughly a 50-50 situation);
- Over card & under card vs. two middle cards - 60:40 or 1.5:1;
- Pocket pair vs. same card and one over card - 65:35 or 2:1;
- Two over cards vs. two under cards - 65:35 or 2:1;
- Pocket pair vs. one over card and one under card - 70:30 or 2.3:1;
- 1st and 3rd highest card vs. 2nd and 4th highest card - 70:30 or 2.3:1;
- Pocket pair vs. smaller pocket pair - 80:20 or 4:1;
- Pocket pair vs. two under cards - 80:20 or 4:1;
- Pocket pair vs. same card and one under card - 85:15 or nearly 6:1.
The odds of making a:
- Flush with a 4 card flush draw: 35.0% (turn + river); 17% on river (some calculations place these odds at 50% or 40% and 25% or 20% respectively).
- Straight with an open-ended draw: 31.5% (turn + river); 15% (some have 17%) on river.
- Trips or two pair with a pair: 23% (turn + river); 11.5% on river.
- Straight with an inside draw: 16.5% (turn + river); 8% on river.
- Trips with a pair: 8.4% (turn + river); 4% on river.
